Below the rules it are normal rules like almost any forum uses.

1. Do not post, request or link to keys, key generators, cracks, warez/illegal software sites, crack search engines or ftp sites. Torrent links and links to no-CD patches are allowed.

2. Adult content is forbidden and all threads which are deemed to be adult in nature by a Mod/Admin will be deleted. This includes avatars and sigs; which some under this rule will be removed and the members ability to post an avatar and/or sig removed.

3. Do not post topics where the primary intention is to promote your personal site, any posts of this nature will be deleted. Also to further expand on this any links posted are subject to removal at a mods/admins discretion. Do however feel free to place a link to your site in your signature as long as the link does not controvene any of the other rules of these forums. This rule doesn't apply to threads started by admins, designated for promoting websites.

4. Absolutely no referral links at all are allowed on this forum, post any free iPod referral links, and the result will be instant banning.

5. Links to other sites are allowed as long as they do not contravene rules 1, 2, 3, and 4. If in doubt DO NOT POST IT.

6. When posting a topic, make sure you choose an appropriate and distinct title. We insist that the topic title makes clear what your topic is about. For instance: the topic title "my pics"     under the my pics section is too vague, add the name or theme of the pictures to make sure not all topics have the same title.

7. When you have a question or need help, use the search function first. It could be that your problem or question is already been handled in the forum.

8. Admins and Moderators control their sections as they see fit and their decisions are final. Arguing over decisions or making polls or topics regarding admin/mod decisions will not get a decision overturned, it will however get you banned and your thread deleted. Similarily editing/flaming mod/admin edits to your posts WILL result in an instant ban.

9. Flaming and trolling is not allowed in any section of the board. Political and religious topics usually lead to flame wars, therefore you are advised to try to stay clear of these discussions. There is no place for "ISMS" on this board, that is racism, facism, etc. It gives moderators more work by deleting the posts and persistent offenders will be banned.

10. Do not post topics regarding politics or religion anywhere in the forum. Break this rule and your thread/post will be deleted and you will receive a warning.

11. Extreme/Excessive foul language will not be permitted. This includes cursing, swearing and abbreviations.

12. Admin and Mods are really working hard looking after the forum, so please don't annoy them with PMs for help etc, as you will find your request ignored... Just post it in the correct section.

13. Signature limitations:

No offensive content like porn, racism and foul language is allowed. Referral affiliate links are strongly forbidden. The maximum permitted height of your signature is 15 lines. Your signature may include one image, as long as it applies to the following rules:
- Maximum width: 500 px
- Maximum height: 200 px
- Maximum filesize: 250 KB

14. The rules above are just a short overview of the FotoStorm Forum policy. Make sure to read the Fotostorm etiquette for a more thorough description of what we consider (in)acceptable.

15. etiquette

15.1. If you do have a problem with FotoStorm.nl do not rant and rave as people will be reluctant to help you. Mods and admins do their best to fix/troubleshoot.

15.2. If you have a problem and you want to open a topic, make your problem clear in the title of your topic. Please do not open topics like "Help me!" or "I need help", but describe your problem/question in a few words.

15.3. Don't use CAPS (writing the whole word in capital letters) in posts and post titles, unless you have a very good reason (there is rarely a reason to shout).

15.4. Be patient with help requests, i.e. no double posting. As it will again make people reluctant to help (patience is a virtue!).

15.5. Also kids are using these forums so choose your language/choice of phrase carefully.

15.6. Offering or requesting invites to private sites is against the best interests of the private site. Invites should not be given out to random people that you don't know - many private sites operate rules such that both the inviter and invitee will be banned if the invitee doesn't keep his/her ratio up. Only Moderators/Admins and those given specific permission may offer or request invites. If you ignore this, you will not be warned but your post will be edited/deleted.

15.7. Avatar, please limit your picture size to 250KB when using the 'Online Avatar' feature of the forum. The upload limit to the forum server for a picture is 60KB and although there appears to be no KB limit on the 'Online Avatar' we ask you to limit your picture to the same KB limit that is on your 'Signature' picture. As a rule, a moderator will ask you one time to change your avatar to within the limit , if you fail to change it in a given period stated by the moderator (e.g. at the time when the moderator asks you, 1 hour if you're online or 24 hours if you're offline) then you will have committed an offence and shall receive a warning. This is to assist the forum readers who do not have fast connections (believe it or not, many members connect via dial-up).

15.8. Don't ask/offer for money in threads, or you'll get banned. The purpose of "Torrents" is sharing stuff, not selling. If we see threads in which someone asks/offers for $$$ in whatever methods (like Paypal or w/e), ban will be given and threads/posts will be deleted.

15.9. this forum allows two languages please post in English or Dutch!

Usually this is how things will go depending on how bad whatever you did was :
1st Offense : Warning
2nd Offense : Warning
3rd Offense : Suspension of account for 14 days.

Anything after that will result in an instant ban.
